Local brewery owners of Claimstake Brewing Company came to me for help when they set out to brand their new establishment. They wanted their brand to represent their core values of hard work, family, and community.
With a nod to the past, but still embracing the future, the mascot Ollag for Claimstake Brewing company was born. A modern take on the hard working miners of the Gold Rush, Ollag was made to look rugged, but approachable, to accommodate the family friendly environment that Claimstake is known to have. Building off of the Gold Rush theme, a typeface was chosen that hinted towards old saloon signs and wanted posters. I worked with Claimstake to create a basic identity system and from there built out labels for their special release brews.
